Portrait Drawings

Unfortunately, we had a disaster at the house. During a cold winter while we were renovating, I stored my books and work in a room where a radiator eventually burst. It took a few days before I noticed the frozen steam on the windows. The steam destroyed many of the drawings. What I could rescue I did. I had a few behind glass that I need to photograph.

The drawings are very light to begin with, still I need to do better than point-and-shoot.

Seattle is about 4 hours north and a bit east of me, but not too far to go for a special event! I will let a fernid know and perhaps we can come and listen to your talk. Be sure to bring your rain gear and January is crab season in this part of the world, so if you like seafood it’s a great time to visit. By the way, I love the way you portray bears. This tiny peninsula is two miles wide and 29 miles long and we have a resident black bear population of over 700. They are daily visitors to my yard, unsuspecting drawing models and I love them for their wildness, the curiosity in their eyes, their shyness and patience they show to their cubs.
