Not long ago, you couldn’t mention “peak oil” in polite company. You would instantly be dismissed as a tin foil hatter if you did. Suddenly that all changed, when the concept of ‘peak oil’ became useful as a reason to fully ‘exploit’ the tar sands. Suddenly the label got changed and now ’serious people’ take peak oil very, very seriously and the tin foil hatters are now the ones who don’t quite buy into the concept!!
