How incredible the state Detroit is in. If we were anything remotely like a decent and humane society, supporting Detroit in its hour of desperate need would be a national priority, same as New Orleans should have been. If the separate parts of this country can’t help each other, or actually, what it really is, REFUSE TO, then why do we remain ‘united’ (but obviously we are not united at all, except as fodder for the war machine and the prison industrial complex, etc.)? Who is benefiting from our supposed unity?
